Whitlock is looking for an experienced Lead Technician to join our team. This person is vital to the successful integration of complex AV and Video collaboration systems into the corporate market. The right candidate will have experience leading teams, training technicians and ensuring we are following the correct installation standards and processes. Candidates must demonstrate experience completing technical installation and management of audiovisual systems, including equipment rack fabrication, site preparation, termination and calibration of audio visual equipment. This includes direct experience installing and commissioning control systems and DSP’s. In addition, the Lead Technician must be able to trouble-shoot and diagnose any complex technical issues that arise. Preferred applicants should be able to discuss examples of completed projects and provide positive references. Creating a great customer experience and positive team cohesiveness is imperative to our success.

Required Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in installation/commissioning of AV systems
  • Crestron, Extron and AMX installation experience 
  • Polycom & Cisco videoconference installation experience
  • InfoComm CTS certification required, or you must be willing to obtain the certification within the first 6 months of employment. CTS-I is a plus.
  • Ability to setup, test, calibrate and commission equipment and devices as required to produce fully functional systems. This includes video displays, display systems, screens, cameras, switchers, scalers, processors, transmitters, receivers, interfaces, microphones, mixers, amplifiers, controls, and other active and passive devices.
