Job Description

The Cloud Services Solutions Architect is a National role and includes a combination of presales, architecture, solution design and implementation coordination. This candidate will lead the consultative discovery of the customer’s AV Application business goals, objectives, and challenges, and then translate them into effective content delivery focused solutions. The design of your solutions will rely on a combination of joint account planning, partner teaming (internal & external), on-site and remote client interface/visits, engagement/solution development and implementation support/follow-up. This position is one of the most technical customer facing positions within an organization and therefore one of the most highly regarded.

A key objective of the Solutions Architect is to increase the growth of revenue and margin for Whitlock’s Professional Services team with a primary focus on the value that Advanced Services solutions add within Whitlock’s catalog. The design of your solutions will leverage a combination of collaborative account planning, partner teaming (internal & external), on-site and/or remote client interface/visits, engagement/solution development and implementation support/follow-up.

Job Requirements

  • Design & Implementation expertise with QUMU, VBrick, Haivision, Scala, Stratocache, Kaltura, Hive, Kollective, Microsoft, Cisco, Industry Weapon, Appspace, YCD
  • Strong knowledge of IP protocols, switching/routing protocols, multicast, reverse proxy, CDN, eCDN, and Firewall Traversal for H.323 and SIP video
  • Technical skills on Service Provider networks.
  • Experience with networking equipment, management tools and network analyzers.
  • Advanced understanding of content delivery infrastructure design and implementation
  • Understanding of O365 applications like Skype, Teams and Stream with integration into content delivery platforms.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, SharePoint, Skype for Business, etc.)
  • Experience directly in the field of streaming, digital signage platforms and/or IT application integration.
  • Valid industry certifications are highly valued.
  • Architect solutions that effectively meet business needs, service-level and availability requirements, and other technology considerations.
  • Logical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solution to the customer.

  • Ability to interact effectively with senior level customer facing personnel and C-level executives.
  • Self-motivated to develop and maintain skill set and product knowledge to maximize value and to deliver exceptional services to our customers.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline or 7+ years of a progressively successful career progression within an IT related industry.
  • 3-5 years of experience in designing, developing, configuring, and implementing complex solutions with diverse solutions from multiple vendors.
  • 1-2 years of success in technical sales or related experience.
