Job Description

Whitlock has a great opportunity for a Rack Fabricator to join our team . The role of the Rack Fabricator is to provide organization and coordination of equipment, materials and drawings required for the integration of audiovisual systems for Whitlock customers. The Rack Fabricator will work directly with the Rack Fabrication Production Manager to ensure we are delivering quality and consistency to our clients throughout the Region. This person requires a thorough understanding and working knowledge of testing, analysis and corrective action on systems, networks, hardware and software in a Professional Audio/Video environment. Strong communication skills, understanding the project scope of work, and attention to detail are key elements of this position.

Required Skills
  • High school or equivalent education
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the installation and commissioning of audiovisual systems
  • InfoComm CTS certification is required
  • Current manufacturer certifications for at least 2 audio DSP platforms (examples: Biamp, ClearOne, Polycom, BSS, Lectrosonic, Peavey, QSC)
  • Current manufacturer certifications for at least 1 video processing platforms (examples: Vista, Spyder, Chrisite processors, Jupiter processors, Barco processors, Extron processors)
  • Manufacturer certifications for at least 1 control system platform (examples: Crestron, AMX, Extron)
  • Strong computer skills including; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project, Internet, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Team player
  • Self-sufficient, self-motivated, organized, reliable and punctual
  • Self-starter with ability to maximize efforts daily, without daily supervision
  • Professional demeanor and good people skills including the ability to interact well with customers, office personnel, field technicians, engineers, sales, vendors, management, etc
