Job Description

The Inside Service Sales Specialist role requires a uniquely qualified and motivated individual to join the Whitlock Sales team in a sales support role, while learning our industry and best practices, with the potential to grow into other sales roles.

The role of Inside Service Sales Specialist would bring excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills to Whitlock to facilitate capacity and bandwidth for our current team. The role would be tightly aligned with our services delivery teams, but mainly focus on customer interfacing and deliverable's tied to service contracts and renewals.

Duties:

  • Service Contract Renewal, Build Service relationships with customers
  • Be the point of contact for customers renewing contracts with Whitlock.
  • Assist customer with questions about service contract specifics, create and identify ‘up-sell’ opportunities.
  • Drive warranty expiration accounts into 2nd year Service Contracts.
  • Educate our customers on offerings and expand services portfolio awareness.
  • Provide services renewal forecast and proactively drive renewal success rates. 
  • Service Proposal Process, Pricing and Workflow
  • Ensure that competitive, complete and accurate renewal proposals are generated, by maintaining current pricing, organizing and centralizing, and maintaining customer profiles. This includes providing proposal assistance to Account Executives.
  • Provide liaison sales support between Service Contract group and regional sales teams. 
  • Build relationships with partners and manufacturers
  • Strategize on accounts/account mapping, contract needs and proactive communication
  • Engage manufacture reps on opportunities and work closely with Account Executives
  • Work closely with our key manufacturer partners to ensure we maximize our position and competitive advantages by obtaining most competitive and accurate pricing per project and through project registration.
  • Engage in post sale support with clients
  • Ensure customer receives all specified deliverables
  • Help Account Executives manage, escalate and resolve customer service and support issues, internally and externally. 
  • General
  • Reports to Director Sales, Managed Services
  • Provide monthly progress of renewals, success rates, loss analysis, etc.
  • Proactive services resource, developing a regular cadence of services updates to management

Required Skills
  • College degree, preferably in marketing, communications or sales related.
  • A/V, Unified Communications or closely related industry experience preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience in a role of Sales, Business Development, Customer Support and/or Marketing.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Advanced computer skills including; Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Accounting Software, Microsoft Outlook, Access Adobe, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, etc.
    • The ability to combine, sort, and create summaries with large amounts of data and spreadsheets.
    • The ability to use formulas to sum, compute profit margin, etc.
    • The ability import large amounts of data into Excel, Adobe and Word, and comply with customized formats for customers and manufacturers.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Good math skills, including calculation of gross profit margins and markup.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Professional demeanor and good people skills including the ability to interact well with customers, office personnel, field technicians, project managers, vendors, management, etc.
  • Excellent work ethic and dedication to completing the job, including after hours, if required.
  • Flexibility to travel within US.
