Overview of Role:

To meet our rapid growth, Whitlock is searching for an experienced Project Accountant responsible for managing the financial aspects of our largest and most complex projects.  This includes proactive customer interfacing, contract review, billing, reconciliations, collections and problem-solving to maximize cash flow.  

This role requires strong interpersonal skills as relationship building is critical to success.  As this position interacts with many functions of the business, an in-depth knowledge of the Company’s systems and cross-functional processes will be gained.  This knowledge coupled with the right attitude will provide for future growth opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve contracts, purchase orders and/or change orders ensuring key terms and conditions are properly entered into sales orders.
  • Provide timely and accurate invoice creation and schedule of values based on contract terms.
  • Perform revenue and invoicing research and reconciliations.
  • Identify root cause relating to invoicing issues impeding ability to collect payment.
  • Work closely with customers, Project Managers, Customer Service and Contract Billing Specialist to proactively resolve issues to ensure efficient billing and collections.
  • Manage a portfolio by forming relations with internal and external customers helping facilitate collection of accounts.
  • Ensure compliance to policies and procedures and help identify process improvements.
