Job Description

Whitlock has a great opportunity for a Reporting Specialist (RS) is responsible for providing strong organization, reporting, and analysis for the Managed Services organization.  The RS will work closely with various levels of management to develop useful business analysis to provide leaders the most impactful information to make timely business decisions.  Additionally, the RS will continuously look for trends and analysis in the business and highlight opportunities to make the business more efficient, profitable and customer-centric. The right candidate will have a passion for data analysis and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Translate stakeholder requirements into reporting deliverables.
  • Create and develop dashboards to increase visibility of department performance, operations and service issues and financial statistics.
  • Develop performance metrics.
  • Deliver ad hoc reports.
  • Conduct data queries and integration of data from multiple systems – e.g. Web site, email database, ERP, CRM.
  • Perform statistical analysis.
  • Analyze user data needs and determine needs resolved through automated repeatable process.
  • Research and present issues.
  • Prepare standard reports and analyze to support business needs.
  • Ensure high data quality through regular quality checks.
  • Offer data analytics and complex activity administration daily.
  • Decompose high-level business needs into functional needs by understanding problem and determining data needs.
  • Extract, filter and aggregate data through logical queries.
  • Develop and create tables, charts, graphs, heat maps and process flow diagrams.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Consolidate, analyze and provide leadership timely and accurate reporting around forecasting.
  • Drive automation and efficiency in reporting efforts.
  • Provide easy to understand, visualized data representing current standings against important performance benchmarks.
  • Contribute to the development of re-engineering methods to improve processes.
  • Document and improve workflows.

Job Requirements

Required Skills

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Some college preferred
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels of customers and the ability to gain consensus among teams, with an utmost focus on customer satisfaction
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands for resources
  • Excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
  • Strong detail orientation, with excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Experience directly in the field of audiovisual or closely related technology is preferred.
  • Exceptional IT computer skills and experience including; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, Internet, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Professional demeanor and good people skills including the ability to interact well with customers, office personnel, field technicians, engineers, sales, vendors, management, etc.
  • Self-starter with ability to maximize efforts daily, without daily supervision.
