Whitlock has a great opportunity for an experienced UC Solutions Deployment Manager to help drive the expansion of our UC Business. The UC Solutions Deployment Manager works with UC Solutions Architects, Whitlock Account Executives, Solutions Architects and Designers to transition complex integrated service projects from design through implementation and into service operations. Whitlock’s business is AV / UC and IT. Our solutions are fit for purpose in and around those disciplines. The candidate will work hands-on directly with clients on projects for implementation and internal innovation lab initiatives for POC, while also managing a team of specialists. The candidate will be primarily directing and managing internal, sub contract and vendor implementation resources through delivery and transitioning day 1 services to the Customer / Whitlock Service Eco-System. The candidate will be a voice of  innovation leadership as Whitlock develops unique and fit for purpose customer solutions on a global scale. The candidate will be a final tier of escalation for SEV-1 managed services technical triage.

Essential Duties:

  • Coordinate very closely with Sales, Management and Engineering to identify and qualify customer acquisition opportunities, commitments and expectations. Assist in customer presentations regarding system design, technical capabilities and competence.
  • Prioritize the placement and inclusion of Preferred Partners in designs and standards
  • Ability to review and understand client and consultant bid specifications and system drawings and accurately assess Whitlock’s equipment counts and bid requirements to produce a working system and meet all additional project requirements. Successfully perform architectural design and coordination in conjunction with our clients, their architects and engineers, consultants and contractors.
  • Successfully prioritizing and juggling many proposal estimates, client commitments, schedules, and due dates daily through very strong daily electronic and personal communications with Account Executives, Management and Technical Operations.
  • Remain actively engaged in projects through successful completion and assist in quality assurance processes
  • IT Management- Data center operations, ITIL methodology, ITSM platforms, CMDB and asset management, API  Integration, SLAs and KPIs, remote monitoring, asset management and service management, global service workflows and multi-provider / multi-tenant service integration
  • Networks-High throughput WAN and Network Technology, InfoSEC and Firewalls, SIP traffic flows and signaling, multicast and multimedia traffic flows, cache forward and reverse proxy concepts, SAN, Fiber, Cisco network hardware and alternatives, QoS, CoS, QoE, isolation and path, risk and high availability, load balancing, gDNS
  • Cloud-AWS, Google and Azure, Crestron cloud applications, Cisco Spark and Web Ex services, Polycom Real Connect services, Microsoft 0365 for Skype, Surface Hub and Skype Room Systems, Blue Jeans, Videxio, Zoom, Vidyo, Pinnaca and other UC cloud service providers, streaming content management, web serving and application hosting providers, digital signage content management, screen inventory and asset management services, cloud ITSM services Remedy and Service Now, cloud remote management vendors, multi-tenant remote access platforms
  • Premise and Integrated Platform Knowledge- AV technologies AV over IP, AVB, Dante, CobraNet, DSP, MPEG, Kiosk and signage platforms, streaming, encoding and broadcast platforms, Polycom, Cisco, PEXIP, Microsoft and Crestron UC platforms and devices, premise workflows for UC Cloud providers, Videxio, Blue Jeans, Zoom and others as needed, Virtualization and Hypervisors – VMWare / Hyper-V, Crestron control, management, transport and UC systems, remote monitoring and service management agents and proxy, IT Help Desk services workflow and supporting systems, middleware, software and development resource vendor management
  • Technical Vendor Management- Experience is required. A network of implementation resource contacts is desirable. The ideal candidate will also have a superior grasp of customer service, a project management aptitude, revenue and sales intelligence and a keen attention to detail. The projects are diverse in scale, scope and application. The candidate must be ready for challenges.
  • Certifications- The candidate will be required to acquire certifications as necessary for lines of business that require them. Portable certifications for Cisco, Polycom, VMWare and Microsoft are desirable

Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or specialized training & certifications in IT, Electrical Engineering or Project Management.
  • 5 years UC Deployment and implementation experience in audiovisual, videoconferencing or closely related telecommunications or IT fields.
  • 10 years overall experience in leadership, site supervision, managing technical resources and technology roll-outs.
  • PMI Certification (PMP) a plus.
  • InfoComm CTS certification a plus.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Specific aptitude with Microsoft Project and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Enterprise software and tools related to Project Management and resource scheduling and tracking.
